Q. Can we stay for one night only?

A. Past guests tell us one night is not enough and often make the comment “we wish we could stay longer”. Groups over 10 people can stay for one night, however groups under this require the two night stay. Trust us though, you will be glad you stayed and chilled out for longer.

The minimum booking period for long weekends is 3 nights. The minimum booking period for Easter and is 4 nights.

Q. How far are the Huts from each other?

A. The Huts and Bunkhouse are situated around our gardens. While they are private from each other they are also close in proximity so you have the best of both worlds.

Q. Do you take more than one booking at a time?

A. No. While you are staying at RF, you will be the only booking. All of the Huts are situated around the spacious grounds and gardens of our home so you will of course share the property with our family and all of the animals!

Q. How do we confirm our booking?

A. Once all accommodation, meals and activities have been confirmed over email, bookings need to be paid in full. This can be done by either paying to our NZ bank account or via Pal Pal (an additional 4.5% is added to your bill when using the later option). Please note once you have paid in full, your booking is non transferable or refundable.

Q. Do you provide Wifi?

A. Yes, for $10 per day (per family) you may use the internet. There maybe an extra charge for any uploading/downloadding

Q. Can we book meals and activities once we have arrived?

A. Sorry, but no. We are a working farm and also have a young family. To ensure we have the right staff available, all meals and activities need to be made at the time of your booking.

Q. Can you provide meals?

A. Yes but your group size effects this. For groups of SIX OR MORE people catered meal options are: continental breakfast, BBQ Lunch, BBQ dinner, Campfire pudding and High tea. For groups UNDER SIX people we can provide breakfast and the campfire pudding options only.

Q. Do you offer laundry facilities?

A. No, sorry. However there is a laundry service only ten minutes away in Marton.

Q. We are staying in a Hut, can we use the Bunkhouse area too?

A. Yes, of course. By booking any Hut, the Bunkhouse is yours to enjoy free of charge. This is a super cool hang out area. From board games, pool table, projector, books, DVD’s to the large covered deck, you will love this spot. Large self catering groups will be charged a one off fee of $100 for the use of gas and removal of the recycling/rubbish.

Q. Are there cafes and restaurants close by?

A. Yes. Within ten minutes from the farm, there are plenty of good options to eat out. Our suggested options include: The Sugar Plum Cafe, Marton Club Hotel, The Lounge Cafe.

Q. Can we self cater ?

A. Yes. The Bunkhouse is a great spot for self catering. It includes a large gas BBQ with lid and gas hob, small kitchen area including fridge, microwave, plates and cutlery and best of all, a large covered deck with roll up sides. Large self catering groups will be charged a one off fee of $100 for the use of gas and removal of recycling/rubbish.

Q. Can we come for a day trip only?

A. Yes for groups only. Mini Van or Bus load, we have it covered.

Q. What activities do you suggest?

A. We suggest everyone who visits does the animal tour, certainly a family favorite and free for over night guests . The shearing and mustering options are well worth it too. The pony ride for the kids is also a favorite.

Q. Do you allow pets?

A. No sorry.

Q. What time can we check in?

A. Check in is from 4pm and check out is 12 noon.
