Experience Rangitikei Farmstay

At Rangitikei Farmstay, we love creating lasting memories for our guests. Our working farm has been in the family for more than 125 years, and its beautiful valley setting offers plenty of opportunities for photos and videos to take home.

Alongside our work with New Zealand and international tourism companies, we welcome groups from universities, schools, businesses and families for an authentic two-hour farm experience.

Your visit begins with a country lunch at our farm museum, featuring produce from the farm. After lunch, you’ll meet our friendly animals and join your hosts for a guided nature walk. Along the way, we’ll share how we produce lamb, beef, wool, honey, fruit and vegetables here on the farm.

You’ll also see a sheep-shearing demonstration and watch our dogs at work during a mustering demonstration—a highlight for many of our guests.

We’re proud to share how New Zealand farmers produce world-class food while caring for their animals and the environment. We hope you’ll join us for a warm welcome and a genuine taste of life on a New Zealand farm.

What’s included

  • A country lunch at the farm museum: New Zealand beef, three garden salads, chocolate brownie, and tea or coffee

  • A guided nature walk with the farm owners, including the animals and gardens

  • Sheep-shearing and mustering demonstrations

Tour time: 12 noon–2 pm. Other times can be arranged on request.

Price: $220 per adult; $110 per child aged 12 or under. Children under one are free.

Group size: This experience is available for groups of 10–40 people.
